• Project data you create in the app, such as stair dimensions, stair type, code preset selections, notes, saved results, and exports.
• App preferences, such as unit system, onboarding completion, free-tier counters, and certain local app settings.
• Purchase and subscription status provided through Apple for restoring or validating premium access.
• Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob in the free tier, which may include device identifiers, diagnostic data, approximate location, and ad interaction information as described by Google.
• Tracking permission status, if you are asked for App Tracking Transparency consent.

How We Use Information

• To calculate stair layouts and display results inside the app.
• To save your projects locally and restore them on later launches.
• To provide premium features, restore purchases, and enforce free-tier limits.
• To serve ads in the free tier and manage ad frequency.
• To maintain app reliability, security, and fraud prevention.

Local Storage and On-Device Data

Stair Calculator stores project data and many preferences locally on your device using Apple system storage. If you delete the app, locally stored project data may also be removed, subject to your device backup settings.

Ads and Tracking

The free version of Stair Calculator may display ads through Google AdMob. Depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, Google may process data according to its own privacy terms. If the app asks for tracking permission under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, you can allow or deny that permission.

We do not sell your stair project data. Third-party ad and purchase providers may process limited information to deliver their services.

Third-Party Services

• Apple may process subscription, billing, and restoration information when you make in-app purchases.
• Google AdMob may process ad-delivery and measurement data in the free tier.
• Other service providers may process information only as needed to support app operations, security, or legal compliance.

Your Choices

• You can delete saved projects from inside the app.
• You can delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to backup settings.
• You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings.
• You can manage subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

Children’s Privacy

Stair Calculator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Data stored locally on your device generally remains there until you delete it or remove the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
